Process for production of ferric sulphate from copper slag for arsenic removal
1. | Title of Product/Design/Equipment | Process for production of ferric sulphate from copper slag for arsenic removal |
2. | IPR Status Patent/Abroad IPR Details | |
3. | Application/Uses | Find number of applications such as (i) oxidant for removal of arsenic, (ii) water treatment (iii) production of pigment, etc. |
4. | Salient Technical Features including Competing Features | Copper slag is a siliceous material and refractory in nature. Dissolution of the slag in sulphate media for recovery of iron is usually found very difficult as silica forms a thick gel. An innovative process is developed at CSIR-NML for dissolution of copper slag for recovery of iron which obviate the problem of silica dissolution and interference during recovery process. |
