Overview

The Engineering Division caters and co-ordinates the engineering needs, both R&D and infrastructural of the laboratory, Large Scale Testing Facilities & Residential Complexes. The divisional activities are subdivided into two groups: Works Services and Maintenance Group and Project Planning & Engineering Group.

Project Planning and Engineering Group

The Group is involved in prototype design and development,  consultancy and research in welding, mechanical design, Computation modeling & simulation of metallurgical processes & pilot plants, and technology scale-up for R&D pilot plantoperations including the preparation of detailed project report.

Works Services and Maintenance Group

This Group is engaged in Infrastructure Development & Infrastructure Management. The infrastructure Development & Management team has successfully completed new facility creations as per the laboratory requirement. In addition, it involves in Annual Maintenance & Overhauling of infrastructure & maintenance jobs.
